Overview:

This Traeger BBQ Chicken Breast recipe features a simple and delicious method to marinate and grill chicken breasts using Traeger's Sweet & Heat BBQ sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal, this dish is marinated overnight and then grilled to tender perfection.

Preparation and Cooking Time:

  • Prep Time: 8 hours
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 cups Traeger Sweet & Heat BBQ sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts and 1 cup of Traeger Sweet & Heat BBQ sauce in a resealable bag or a large bowl. Turn to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce. Marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Preheat the Grill: When ready to cook, set the Traeger grill to 450°F (232°C) and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
  3. Season the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the Chicken: Place the chicken directly on the grill grates. Grill for 10 minutes on each side, turning once, until the internal temperature reaches 150°F (66°C).
  5. Add More Sauce: Brush the remaining 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce over the chicken while still on the grill. Continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Enjoy!
